Once upon a time, there was a little girl called Red Riding Hood. She lived with her mother near a big forest. She always wore a red hood, so everyone called her Red Riding Hood.

One day, her mother said, "Your grandmother is sick. Please take her some bread and milk."

Red Riding Hood took the basket and went into the forest. Her mother said, "Don't talk to strangers and don't leave the path."

On the way, she met a big bad wolf. The wolf asked, "Where are you going, little girl?"

Red Riding Hood forgot her mother's words. She said, "I am going to my grandmother's house."

The wolf ran to the grandmother's house very fast. He went inside and ate the grandmother. Then he put on her clothes and got into her bed.

Red Riding Hood came to the house and went to the bed. She said, "Grandma, what big ears you have!"

"All the better to hear you with," said the wolf.

"Grandma, what big eyes you have!"

"All the better to see you with," said the wolf.

"Grandma, what big teeth you have!"

"All the better to eat you with!" said the wolf, and he jumped out of bed.

Red Riding Hood was scared. She screamed for help. A woodcutter heard her and ran into the house. He hit the wolf, and the wolf ran away into the forest.

Red Riding Hood and her grandmother were safe. Red Riding Hood said, "I will always listen to my mother." And she never talked to strangers again.
